DIR/Floortime® Services at Mosaic Minded.

At Mosaic Minded, we are proud to offer services based on the Developmental, Individual-differences, and Relationship-based (DIR®) model, commonly known as DIR/Floortime®. As a Certified DIR Practitioner, our approach is designed to support individuals across the lifespan—particularly those who are neurodivergent or navigating developmental challenges.

DIR/Floortime® is an evidence-based, respectful, and relational framework that focuses on fostering emotional and intellectual growth through meaningful interactions. The model embraces individuality and recognizes that each person processes the world in their own unique way.

how we can support you or your loved one with DIR®

  • Our DIR/Floortime® services are tailored to neurodivergent children, adolescents, and adults. Whether you or your loved one is diagnosed with autism, ADHD, or another developmental difference, we focus on enhancing emotional regulation, engagement, and the ability to form meaningful relationships.

Through play-based and relationship-centered therapy, we meet individuals where they are, encouraging progress and growth through their own unique developmental journey. We focus on:

    • Emotional regulation and self-awareness

    • Engagement and meaningful connections

    • Building trust and mutual understanding

    • Strengthening communication and social skills

  • Parents and caregivers play a vital role in the DIR/Floortime® approach. We work closely with families to provide strategies that promote positive interactions and support your child’s emotional and developmental needs. Our therapy sessions guide you in creating opportunities for growth through playful, attuned, and respectful engagement.

  • Through playful, engaging sessions, we help children and adolescents develop emotional awareness, social understanding, and flexible thinking. DIR/Floortime® focuses on helping young people work through their individual challenges by fostering emotional security and strengthening their relationships with trusted adults.

We use developmentally appropriate activities to encourage:

    • Emotional expression and processing

    • Problem-solving and flexible thinking

    • Social connection and communication skills

    • Increased independence and self-regulation

  • We provide assessments to help you or your child understand developmental strengths and areas for growth. Our evaluations are designed to create a comprehensive picture of emotional, cognitive, and relational capacities. This allows us to personalize therapy plans and track progress in meaningful ways.
